If your cat needs help right now

We are a publication, not a veterinary clinic, and we cannot give advice about an individual cat by email. Please do not wait for a reply from us.

Call your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital. If you think your cat has swallowed something poisonous, call ASPCA Animal Poison Control on (888) 426-4435, available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. A consultation fee may apply.

Reporting a mistake

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, write to info@thepurrpost.com with the article link, the sentence in question and, if you have one, the source that shows the correct information.

Every correction request is checked against primary sources. If we got it wrong, we fix the article and note the update on the page. How we handle corrections in full is set out in our editorial policy.
